My history
Since I started my academic training, I have tried to expose myself to the most varied psychological topics, covering almost the entire age spectrum, applied to a wide range of situations and settings. Along this path I adopted an integrative view of psychotherapy, as I understood that to do the best job possible, taking into account the variety of needs and configurations that my clients present, I need to have a flexible attitude and equip myself with tools, both theoretical and practical, from different schools and therapeutic models.
I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon as a Clinical Psychologist, specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral and Integrative Psychotherapy. Being a psychologist implies the constant updating of my knowledge and practice, so my training continued and continues. Today, I focus on psychological counseling with adults and young adults, and base my practice on cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential and experiential therapies, inspired by Leslie Greenberg, Sandra Paivio, Antonio Pascual-Leone, Leigh McCullough, Marcha Linehan , Lorna Benjamin, Jeffrey Young, Aaron Beck, Jeremy Safran, Carl Rogers, Nancy McWilliams, Paul Wachtel, Richard Schwartz, Ellert Nijenhuis, Prof. Dr. Nuno Conceição, Prof. Dr. António Branco Vasco, among others. My main topics of interest are trauma, personality disorders and experiential work.
