What is it like to do psychotherapy with me?
Psychotherapy is a process, which can be short or long, depending on the needs of each person. I propose a team work, in which my role is to guide the discovery and organization of an internal world, in the service of achieving the therapy goals.
Recognizing a difficulty, or that certain aspects of ourselves are confusing, should not be a cause for shame. It is at this stage that therapy begins, with motivation to organize these aspects. I believe that even accessing our most painful parts, the path is very beautiful. Progressively, we feel more and more in touch with our true nature, and with it comes the power to choose how we want to satisfy our needs. On this path, I not only have the privilege of knowing this inner world, but I also share its successes and difficulties. I will always cherish curiosity, compassion and courage, cultivating them, through an alliance with the client, seeking the expression of their authenticity and autonomy.
Intervention areas
Two people resort to therapeutic follow-up for different reasons. I am not adept at labeling them, and it is not strange that many times the problems that lead someone to want to start a process, give rise to others during the follow-up. Still, here are some examples:
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Panic attacks
-
Phobias
-
Low self-esteem
-
Personal development
-
Trauma
-
Difficulty making decisions
-
Concentration problems
-
Relational difficulties
-
Suicidal ideas
-
Aggressiveness
-
Impulsiveness
-
